Hi, I'm Hannah Hazel. I grew up in eastern Iowa and now reside on the rural eastern edge of Boulder, Colorado. I work out of my backyard studio and make all of the stained glass art you will find here. Last year, I enrolled in a local craft store's introductory stained glass workshop on a whim. I wasn't expecting anything other than an afternoon break from my (then and current) duties as the artist behind Blue Grama Stamps, a recycled rubber stamp company. I also wasn't expecting to fall in love with another medium, but hey, that's how love works sometimes right? The delicacy and strength of the glass is a challenging and beautiful medium to work with. I'm constantly amazed by the beauty and capabilities of stained glass!
When I'm not in the studio, I'm most likely sifting through a thrift store, walking a trail with my dog, caring for my 40+ houseplants, or pouring lattes as a part-time barista at FoxDog Coffee. My goal is to lean into the ebbs and flows of being an artist - and of being myself. I try to avoid defining a day's success by it's tangible productivity. I hope my art will create emotion, inspire confidence, or support you in some way.
